About the Lab:
The QAN lab has an array of research projects that explore elements of Emotion, Perception, Cognition, Executive Functioning, and Memory employing behavioral and neurophysiological methods.
We examine the adaptive and maladpative ways in which emotions prioritize perception, cognition, and memory in achieving goal-driven behaviors.
We examine how discrete emotions influence the splitting of attention and attentional flexibility.
We examine the emotional and cognitive consequences of emotion regulation within dyadic pairs.
We examine how discrete emotions influence specific executive functions, particularly whether emotion influences the structure and nature of executive functioning.
We examine how emotion influences semantic priming in both priming studies and false memory studies.
